Ambassador Led Tour

The Ambassador Led Tour takes place early in the competition. Participants will be able to spend more time getting to know their ambassador, the city, and New Zealand. This is a great time for you to tick off some Ka-pai cup challenges or just to explore the city at your own pace.

Auckland Adventures

In 2024, participants and advisors will be spoiled for choice! Enjoy the stunning Auckland views at the top of the iconic Sky Tower, on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, or in the harbour itself. For all you adventurous souls out there, we have provided the options of a bungy jump off the Harbour Bridge, a visit to the Sky Tower, or a Jet Boat trip around the harbour!

We are certain that this taste of Tāmaki Makaurau will make the Champions Trophy Case Competition 2024 an unforgettable experience. Each participant and advisor will be able to choose one of the following activities:

Activities

Each participant and advisor will be able to choose one of the following activities:

  • Harbour Bridge Bungy Jump
New Zealanders are incredibly proud of AJ Hackett, who commercialised bungy jumping in 1996. The Harbour Bridge Bungy Jumper is a true showcase of Kiwi spirit, and is not to be missed by any thrill seeker. For those who choose this option, you will be taken up the Harbour Bridge, have a rope tied around your ankles and plummet 40 metres towards the water. You can even opt for a refreshing dip in the ocean at the bottom!
  • Auckland Adventure Jet
Auckland’s Waitematā harbour is regarded as one of the most aesthetic in the world, so what’s the best way to explore it? On a jet boat, of course! Auckland Adventure Jet takes passengers on an adrenaline-fuelled trip out on the water, while giving people the rundown on Auckland City and its surroundings. If you have a need for speed, curiosity about Tāmaki Makaurau and its surrounding islands, and don’t mind getting a tad wet, then this is the adventure for you!
  • Sky Tower Visit
At 328 metres, the Sky Tower is the tallest man-made structure in Aotearoa, and offers breathtaking views of up to 80 kilometres in every direction. Not only will you enjoy the 360-degree view of Auckland, but you can also explore the famous Weta Workshop best known for making props, weapons, armour, and costumes for The Lord of the Rings. If you’re still not convinced, we will also provide passes to the newly opened SkySlide, which takes you on a thrilling, virtual-reality tour!

Bowls Night

The perfect activity to help you unwind after a long day of social events. On Bowls Night, participants and advisors are invited to mix and mingle over food and drinks, while enjoying a relaxing Kiwi Summer evening playing Lawn Bowls. Lawn Bowls is a great summer sport and has grown in popularity among young people in Aotearoa. Bowls is played on flat green, and the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop as close as possible to a smaller ball, called the “jack” or “kitty. How hard can it be, right?

Beach Day

It’s not a classic Kiwi Summer without a day at the beach! Experience the vibes of one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most favourite North Shore beaches, Long Bay. The beach is perfect for all things that turn a regular summer into a classic Kiwi summer including a range of sports games, fish & chips, barbeques, a cheeky beverage, and, of course, and endless stretch of clear blue water. On the day we also hope to teach you about our native Māori culture through traditional games and activities. Don’t forget to pack your swimming gear to ensure that you can enjoy the water, and remember your sunblock!

We’re incredibly excited to organise these events for you all, and look forward to seeing you soon!
